Circuits Migration Best Practices

Most upgrades to Fiber Manager XI include the migration of circuit data. A circuit represents a "chain of glass" from one location to another. This chain of glass should have a port on either end and strands of fiber in between that are connected end to end. Every circuit has a header which is typically at the consumer end of the path. An ArcFM Fiber project can contain thousands or millions of circuits that must be managed.

For Fiber Manager, the migration is completed in two steps.

1. Migrate the core circuit information from the Fiber Manager 10.x Circuit Component table.

2. Run the Bulk Circuit Healing tool to populate the circuit information in the circuit relationship tables.
