HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH Do not install a MicroLogic Active control unit with version number less than 004.000.000 in a MasterPacT MTZ circuit breaker with performance level L1 or H3. Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

The replacement procedure described in this guide specifically applies to:

The replacement of a MicroLogic Active control unit embedded in a MasterPacT MTZ circuit breaker, by another MicroLogic Active control unit.
The removal and reinstallation of a MicroLogic Active control unit embedded in a MasterPacT MTZ circuit breaker, for example during the replacement of an accessory.

NOTE: Replacement of a MicroLogic Active control unit in MasterPacT NT/NW circuit breakers must be carried out by accredited Schneider Electric Services representatives or accredited Schneider Electric certified partners.

In all cases, the replacement procedure must be followed by the compulsory tests to perform after reinstallation of the MicroLogic Active control unit.

Replacement Process

Stage	Description
1	Prepare the replacement.
2	Obtain data from the initial MicroLogic Active control unit.
3	On site, prepare the MasterPacT MTZ1 circuit breaker or MasterPacT MTZ2/MTZ3 circuit breaker, before working on the equipment.
4	Replace the MicroLogic Active control unit.
5	Perform the test required after MicroLogic Active control unit replacement.
6	Prepare the MasterPacT MTZ circuit breaker before setting.
7	Set the characteristics of the local network.
8	Set data in the replacement MicroLogic Active control unit.

Test Required After MicroLogic Active Control Unit Replacement

Test requirement	Test description
Mandatory	Perform a primary injection test on each pole of the circuit breaker.
Mandatory	Perform a trip test.
Recommended	Perform a secondary injection test.
Recommended	Test the internal battery.
Recommended	If the microswitch is present, test the microswitch.
Recommended	If the BCIM module is present, test circuit breaker communication.
Recommended	If the BCIM module is present and remote control of the circuit breaker is enabled, test the remote control operation.
