Event Notifications

Presentation

High severity events (including trips) and medium severity events are notified by a pop-up screen on the MicroLogic Active control unit.

Trip events are notified by SDE1 standard fault-trip indication contact and SDE2 optional fault-trip indication contact.

In addition, events can be configured to be notified in the following ways:

  • By optional BCIM module.

  • By email from IFE or EIFE Ethernet interface.

  • By email from Panel Server.

Pop-up Screen

All high and medium severity events generate a pop-up screen on the MicroLogic Active display screen:

  • A red pop-up screen indicates a trip or high severity event, needing immediate attention.

  • An orange pop-up screen indicates a medium severity event, recommending action.

BCIM Module Notification

When configured in Alarm mode, the optional BCIM module can be used to signal the status of alarms.

The BCIM module is equipped with two outputs to activate external pilot lights when the alarms are active.

To configure the BCIM module in Alarm mode, set the BCIM parameters on the MicroLogic Active display screen, at Configuration > BCIM as follows:

  • BCIM = Yes

  • IO Settings > IO Mode = Alarm

  • Select one event to be signaled on each IO Channel, from the following:
