Opening Function
Presentation
MicroLogic Active control units receive and process electrical opening orders. An event is generated on opening.
Operating Principle
Opening orders can be sent as follows:
-
Directly through a mechanical opening pushbutton.
-
Locally through an external opening pushbutton, connected directly or via the BCIM module to the MX communicating opening voltage release
-
Remotely through a remote order which is managed by the MicroLogic Active control unit.
Opening orders have priority over closing orders. No closing orders are taken into account as long as an open order is active.
The open orders on MN or MX voltage releases by external pushbutton can be maintained to force the circuit breaker in open position and reject any close order. The MicroLogic Active open orders are not maintained.

HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
|
The MicroLogic Active control unit manages opening orders issued by the following means:
-
Server or remote controller connected to the communication network through Modbus protocol. For information about communication through Modbus protocol, refer to DOCA0384•• MasterPacT, ComPacT, PowerPacT Circuit Breakers - Modbus Communication - User Guide.
-
IFE/EIFE webpages. Refer to the relevant document:
-
DOCA0106•• Enerlin'X EIFE - Embedded Ethernet Interface for One MasterPacT MTZ Drawout Circuit Breaker - User Guide
-
DOCA0142•• Enerlin'X IFE - Ethernet Interface for One Circuit Breaker - User Guide
-
DOCA0084•• Enerlin'X IFE - Ethernet Switchboard Server - User Guide
-
-
FDM121 display connected to the ULP system. Refer to DOCA0088•• Enerlin'X FDM121 - Front Display Module for One Circuit Breaker - User Guide.
