KNX Devices Configuration

Connect your computer to a USB interface, or make sure you have a KNX IP interface before uploading the programs into your devices.

The reference of the USB interface is MTN631829 or MTN6502-0101.

You can connect to the complete installation (on site) or each device (in your office, for example).

If you want to configure the controller, connect it to the computer with a RJ45 cable.

Follow the downloading steps in the wizard.

Click Select Interface at the bottom left of the Upload tab.

eConfigure will search for available KNX USB and IP interfaces for the access to KNX.

After the searching, double-click your interface or select your interface and click OK.

You can add your interface manually:

1. Click Add interface > fill in the form:

   • Name

   • Individual address

   • IP address

   • Port

   • Using NAT:
     Be careful with using NAT mode to connect to unsecured interfaces over the internet. It is safer to establish a VPN connection and use local IP addresses instead.
     The client router has to be configured to allow port mapping.

2. Click Test to verify connection. If successful > click OK.

Possible reasons why an interface is not recognized:

• Compatible interface: USB interface (MTN681829) or Wiser for KNX/homeLYnk (LSS100100)/spaceLYnk (LSS100200).

• If you are using controller check that your computer is on the same network.

• If you are using controller, verify that the firewall is not blocking communication with the controller.

If you want to configure your devices, follow these steps:

1. In the Upload tab, select the devices you want to configure and click the arrow button in the center of the screen.

2. Follow the wizard steps. If your device is not addressed, press the programming button on your device to give it the individual address.

3. Wait for the configuration to finish.

4. If you want to configure only the individual address, click Address only at the bottom of the screen and follow a wizard.

5. If you have several devices with the same individual address, you made a mistake. Click Reset the device and start over. 

It is always better to configure each device separately.

Once the device appears on the right side of the Upload tab screen, the configuration is complete.
