Additional Information (Deprecated)

When you click on a component in Designer XI, you can view attribute information in the Component Information pane. The application provides default attributes. Formerly, you could add fields to this list using the Additional Information tab in Solution Center. The Additional Information tab is now deprecated.

Instead, use Catalog Tab > Schema Editor > GIS Attributes. There, you can add fields to components and check them to “Show for Imported.” This accomplishes the same thing as Additional Information.

• With Additional Information, you did not have control over field position. With GIS Attributes, you do have control over field position.

• With Additional Information, when you added a field, any component that had that field name would display it in the Component Information pane. With GIS Attributes, you have control over which components actually display specific fields.

• Finally, in GIS Attributes you can decide if the application should also show the fields for new components and allow them to be edited.
