Design Styles
In the Designer XI application, the Design Style determines the look and feel of the components on the map, including the symbols, colors, and labels. Design Styles determine the symbology for both existing components and new components. If you have ever used an application in the ArcFM Desktop Suite, Design Styles are the same concept as Stored Displays.
IMPORTANT: This
set of topics only applies to Design Styles created at Designer XI
version 11.4 and before. Design Styles created at version 11.5 and
beyond and managed entirely within the Designer XI application (see Configure Design Style within the Designer XI Application). If you have created Design Styles at version 11.5 and beyond,
they do not appear in the Solution Center Design Style drop-down.
At version 11.5 and beyond, the Solution Center > Designer > Client
Application > Design Styles tab does not sync with the Design Styles
you create within the Designer XI application. The tab remains in
Solution Center for customers at versions 11.4 and before.
