Session Manager
If using the Hosted Edge along with Esri’s geometric network and Process Framework Session Manager, the database connection strings must be populated in Solution Center > Designer > Mapping > Session Manager.

This is the same configuration with the same settings as on-premises Edge Service.

The key difference is that the configuration is performed in Solution Center > Designer > Mapping > Session Manager instead of the app.config file.
Along the left-hand side there are three options:

Default: You can configure database connection strings to satisfy both Electric and Gas. In other words, both types of designs use the same connection strings.

Electric: You can override the default and provide electric-only connection strings.

Gas: You can override the default and provide gas-only connection strings.
If you leave Electric or Gas empty, they “fall back” to the default.
