Electric Cut Point CU

By default, the Electric Cut Point does not come with an associated CU (the gas cut point does). Thus, when the user performs an electric cut, it does not appear in the Project pane in an electric design.

However, you can choose to add the relevant CU so that the cost of the cut is attributed in the design. For this configuration, you must use the GUID below for the Cut Point CU. This is the only recognized GUID for this purpose:

  • a1afa62e-18eb-41fb-8005-5ace0a121d71

Now, when you add an individual CU using the Compatible Unit tab, you do not have the ability to specify a GUID. Thus, to add this Cut Point CU, you must use the Import tab.

Here is an example of what the Excel table looks like for the Electric Cut Point CU.

  • The ID must match exactly as shown above (it is provided above as text in this topic so you can copy it).

  • The Name, WMS Code, and Description are up to you. The image is just an example.

  • The Available Work Functions must be Install.

Use the Import tab to upload this to your CU Catalog. Refresh the Catalog Cache to reflect this new CU.
