Configure Username/Password Credentials for Proxy Server (Optional)
If your organization uses a proxy server that requires username/password credentials, perform the following steps:
-
Locate the proxy-credential.json file and open it in the text editor of your choice.
-
Type the username and password as indicated.
-
Save and close the file.
-
Ensure that the user running the ArcFM Markup Service Windows Service has modify permissions on that file.
NOTE: By default, the user running the Windows Service is Network Service. This user is automatically given modify permissions during installation. However, if the Service is running under a different user, you must explicitly grant that user modify permissions on the file. This allows the file to be encrypted the next time the Service starts so the proxy username and password are not stored in plain text. -
If you need to change the credentials in that file, supply new username and password values, then save the file. When the Service starts, it uses the new credentials to overwrite the "encrypted" entry.
