As-Built Markup Types
Markup types help you categorize the different types of markups your organization uses. ArcFM Mobile supports designation of one or more markup types specifically for the purpose of construction as-builting.
When you define a new markup type, it is then added to all operational maps and configured to use a default palette.
You can edit a markup type by selecting it to highlight it, changing the values, and clicking Save.
In ArcFM Mobile, users see a Markups
button available in the upper right.
Service Specific Settings
In the event that a Markup type has one or more items listed in this section, the Markup type likely contains stale data and/or one or more maps that no longer exist. Nothing is harmed in leaving these items in the list, but you may want to remove them to avoid any problems.
To edit these settings, click the Edit Service Selections
button.
In the resulting dialog, uncheck the items you want to remove. Then click Apply.
Markup Type ID
If your organization utilizes the ability of ArcFM Mobile to accept inbound messages from a workforce management app (refer to the ArcFM Mobile Developer Guide), you can also configure parameters that allow users to activate a job at a particular location in the map. You can additionally use markup type IDs in the inbound message to bind the activated job location to a limited number of markup types. This allows your users to more accurately and efficiently select a markup type for the particular markup activity they are performing.
If the inbound message contains only one markup type ID for a job location, ArcFM Mobile initiates markup automatically based on that markup type.
Click the Copy Markup Type ID button to have the displayed ID copied to the clipboard for inserting into an inbound message.
