Create New Map and Add Data

In this step you remove any applied basemaps and add all the tables in the .sde to the new map.

On the Catalog tab, right-click Maps and select New Map.
Remove any basemaps that were automatically applied.
Expand the .sde under the Databases folder.
Right-click the Utility Network and select Add to Current Map.
When asked “Do you also want to add all classes that participate in [UtilityNetwork] to the map?” click Yes.
Select any tables that aren't part of the Utility Network and click Add to Current Map.
