Verify Connectivity with the ACE Tool

The ArcFM Connectivity Evaluator (ACE) tool is a separate application from Solution Center and ArcFM Mobile. Its core function is to test and verify connectivity to ArcFM services and, depending on the application, connectivity to Azure Service Bus. Verifying connectivity using the ACE tool is required for initial install AND upgrades to the Sync Service 2.0.0 or later.

IMPORTANT: Before verifying connectivity, consult with your IT or network administrators to verify the ports that are open on your corporate network (443 or 5671). This determines the protocol that you test with the ACE tool and subsequently configure for your sync service.

  1. Download and run the ArcFM Connectivity Evaluator on the machine where ArcFM Sync Service will be installed.
  2. On the startup screen, next to "Please enter your organization's name," type the name of the tenant you need to test and click Submit.
  3. On the login screen, choose your authentication type and sign in as a user with administrator privileges in ArcFM Mobile. This can be the login you used to establish the tenant.
  4. In the ACE tool main window, click Sync Service.
  5. On the Service Bus tab, if your IT/network administrators told you to use port 443, click the AMQP WEBSOCKETS button. If your IT/network administrators told you to use port 5671, click the AMQP button. Review any connection issues with your administrators. One of these options must be working without issue before continuing. You will identify your chosen protocol during post-install of ArcFM Sync Service.
  6. On the Web Services tab, click the Test All button. Review any connection failures presented to you with your IT administrator for resolution. Web Services connections must be working without issue before continuing.
