Offline Viewer Configuration

Taking your maps offline allows mobile users to work in the field without the need for a wireless or cellular data connection. The typical ArcFM Mobile GIS environment is built from one or more operational map replicas that digitally overlay one or more basemap tile packages. Usually showing land features like streets, lots, and bodies of water, tile packages orient operational map replicas representing your field assets in the real world.

ArcFM Mobile allows users to download the replicas managed in this section as part of download packages. In addition, the app queries the ArcFM Sync Service every 10 minutes for any updates to the downloaded replicas. If updates are available, the app automatically downloads the appropriate deltas and applies them to the local replica.

TIP: The ArcFM Mobile app is available for download in Solution Center on the Rollout tab. For important information regarding download and installation, visit these pages on myArcFM: In the event that the app is not available in the App Store, contact Technical Support to request that ArcFM Mobile be added to your region.

IMPORTANT: If at any time during the configuration process you encounter unexpected results, refer to the ArcFM Mobile Troubleshooting Guide on myArcFM.
