Network Categories for Tracing

Tracing requires network categories must be applied to the desired ASSETTYPES so they participate in traces. Use the following table as a guide for required ASSETTYPES for various traces.

Network Categories	Domain Type	Description
E:Service Point	Electric	Applied to the meter ASSETTYPES that represent customers.
E:Switch	Electric	Applied to switch ASSETTYPES that can be used to operate the feature through Component Info.
E:Protective	Electric	Applied to protective device ASSETTYPES. Used by Component Info and by Editor XI’s protective device traces.
Isolating	Gas and Water	Applied to Controllable Valve ASSETTYPES that are operated to isolate sections of the network.
Meter	Gas and Water	Applied to the Meter ASSETTYPES that are impacted by the isolation trace.
Regulator	Gas and Water	Applied to the Regulator ASSETTYPES that are capable of isolating sections of the network.
DistributionPipe	Gas and Water	Applied to all Distribution Pipe ASSETTYPES that participate in the isolation trace.
ServicePipe	Gas and Water	Applied to all Service Pipe ASSETTYPES that are impacted by the isolation trace.
