Gas Field Names

The Field Model Names listed below are displayed in Solution Center, and they are then pointed to user-selected database fields. For instructions on how to set field model names, refer to Configure Field and Class Model Names.

The Database Field Name column in the table below matches Schneider Electric sample data, however, it is not required that your data match these exactly. The database field names can be called anything you desire. However it is required that the Field Model Names match as indicated in the table below.

TIP: If your organization chooses to name your database fields differently than those listed in the column below, it is recommended that you record what database names you assigned to which field model names in place of the suggested names in the table. This list of differences will help assist Schneider Electric Support in the event you need their assistance with your database in the future.

This field model name must be mapped to the text field which contains information about the operating classification of the valve (e.g. Critical). It is represented by Critical in Component Info.

IMPORTANT: While Component Info indicates Yes or No, the User Interface is searching for the string ‘cr’ in upper or lower case within the attribute of the valve feature. To denote that a valve is not critical do not use any words with ‘cr.’

This field model name must be mapped to the field with proper domains related to the diameter of features in the map and is represented by Diameter in Component Info.

TIP: Changing the units in the Editor XI Configuration does not change the units of the diameter field.

This field model name must be mapped to the field with proper domains related to the type of material the device feature is made from (e.g. Cast Iron, Steel) and is represented by Material in Component Info.

Gas Class Model Names

Class Model Names don't have to match exactly as illustrated in the table below. You can set any of your features with the Gas Device model name as long it is a Controllable Device within Component Info.

Network Categories

A network category is a way to group features with similar characteristics that play a similar role within the network such as lines, devices, and junctions. These network categories help define behavior, tracing logic, and visualization within the utility network. The ArcFM UN data model differentiates network categories into two groups: equipment type categories and modeling categories. The equipment type categories are defined by the types of equipment these feature classes, asset groups, and asset types represent. Modeling categories are defined by the roles or functions they serve in the network.
