Update the Autoupdater XI Extension

Once you have deployed and configured the Autoupdater XI SOI extension, follow these steps to update it:

1. In ArcGIS Server Manager, click Site on the horizontal bar toward the top of the page.

2. Click Extensions on the vertical bar near the left side of the page.

3. In the list of Extensions, click the Edit button for the entry with a Display Name of ArcFM Autoupdater XI.

   

4. In the dialog that opens, browse for the updated ArcFM_Autoupdater_XI.soe extension file, select it, and click Save. Updating the Autoupdater XI SOI extension stops any associated feature services.

   

5. Click Services on the horizontal bar toward the top of the page. Click on a feature service that uses the Autoupdater XI SOI extension. In the window that opens, select the Save button toward the upper right.

   NOTE: When parameters are added or removed from an SOI or SOE, a recommended best practice is to make note of current parameters and their values prior to updating. Next, update the SOE and SOI, adjust the parameters and values if needed, and Save. Even if no changes are necessary, a Save is required when updating the SOI for successful initialization.

   

6. Restart the service. Repeat this for every feature service that uses the Autoupdater XI SOI extension.
