DXI Integration — Create Vertex or Junction

The out-of-the box Autoupdater DXI Integration - Create Vertex or Junction helps maintain connectivity by updating edits that are pushed to GIS from Designer XI. When features are pushed onto existing lines, the Autoupdater makes sure the vertex is created to maintain Utility Network connectivity.

When a new line of the same asset group and type is created, a vertex is added to the existing line. When a new line of a different asset group and type is created, the Autoupdater adds a junction feature to an existing line.

You must specify a preferred junction feature type with the se_preferredJunction parameter in the Autoupdater orchestration. You can use this parameter if more than one applicable feature exists in the UN rules to connect different line types. If a feature is found that is not your preferred junction, the first feature found is placed. If no rules are found, an Unknown junction feature is placed.
