Rolling Updates

Editor XI has the power to update through Solution Center. This allows Schneider Electric to seamlessly update the application with the latest release without taking time from Administrators to install these new versions on their Editor machines. Users are notified when an updated version is available when they log in to EXI and are requested to manually restart their session of ArcGIS Pro to install and accept the updates. These updates include major, minor, and patch releases that have been announced on myArcFM.

Rolling updates continues to look for the latest version of EXI unless a version has been pinned in Solution Center.

Rolling Updates does not support a downgrade scenario. If a downgrade is needed, submit a ticket to Schneider Electric support.

Rollout

You can ‘pin’ a version of Editor XI with the Rollout plugin in Solution Center. Administrators choose whether to update their editors with the latest patch build of a minor version of EXI, or choose a specific patch version for their editors to stay on. Rollout performs upgrades similar to the Rolling Updates feature in that it can’t perform downgrades if an editor manually installs a newer version of EXI.

In the case a digital copy of the download file is needed, Administrators can obtain a copy of the download link where the install files are uploaded.

For additional information on how to configure Rollout settings, see the Rollout topic in the ArcFM Solution Center Configuration Guide.

The View Release Notes button provides a link to the Editor XI myArcFM product space where a change log for the build and other news are available.

IMPORTANT: Rollout functionality specifically for EXI became available with version 11.1.0. Pinning to previous versions is unavailable.
