Import the Asset Package

The first step in configuring ArcGIS Pro is to add the asset package to your project file.

1. From the ArcFM Editor XI Downloads page, download one of the two asset package files offered:

   • ArcFM Balanced Asset Package, a European-style electric data model

   • ArcFM Unbalanced Asset Package, a North American-style electric data model

2. Unzip this file to an easily accessible location.

3. Open ArcGIS Pro and log in with your Portal for ArcGIS account.

4. Under New Project, click Map.

   

5. Enter a name for your project, select where to save it, then click OK.

6. Open the Catalog pane. From the Project tab, right click Databases and select Add Database.

7. In the Select Existing Geodatabase window, browse to the unzipped asset package location, and click the geodatabase file. Click OK.

   Example: C:\Documents\ArcFM_UN_Unbalanced_AP_22May2024.gdb

The database and its contents display in the Catalog pane.
