Edit Length

When placing conductors, Designer XI automatically calculates the length using a two-dimensional, flat length. However, sometimes you need to add additional length to account for sag or for known design factors in the area.

In the Project pane, find the CU where you want to Edit Length.
Hover over the options icon for that item, then click the Edit Length tool.
Once the length field is active, type the necessary length and press Enter.

TIP: Want to save a click? Once the CU is highlighted in green, click directly on the length. The field becomes active and is ready for you to type in a new length.
