Service Connection

A service connection is a combination component, with service meter, service pipe, and fitting all sketched in the same process.

Sketching

• When sketching a service connection, you can either start with the meter on the building or start with the fitting on the main:

  • Starting at the meter: click the desired location for the service meter first, then click to snap into an existing main. A service pipe connects the meter to the main, and a fitting is placed where the service and main meet.

  • Starting at the fitting: click the desired location for the fitting along the main first, then click to place the meter. A service pipe connects the fitting to the meter.

• The fitting that connects the service to the main also splits the existing main into two sections.
