Non-Drawn CU, Generic Component, and ENC Filters
Non-Drawn CUs, Generic Line Components, Generic Point Components, and Electric Network Components (ENCs) have filter drop-downs in the CU Search.
These allow you to select the Type of Non-Drawn, Generic Component, or ENC to winnow the list of CUs.
When using these Type drop-downs, keep the following in mind:
-
The filter drop-downs are helpful, but not required. If you know the CU Name, WMS Code, or Description, you can still find the CU without using the drop-downs.
-
You can choose one Type at a time. You cannot choose multiple Types.
-
Your Type selections persist in the CU Search during your design session.
-
To de-select a Type, first click the Non-Drawn or Generic Component icon. Then, drop the filter down again and click your currently selected Type. This toggles the Type off.
-
-
When you have chosen a Type, the Type name appears in the CU Search title bar. For example, notice in the image above, “Drone Support” is visible in the title bar. This acts as a reminder about which Type you selected.
-
Also, an orange highlight appears alongside the icon. This is another reminder that currently a Type is selected.
-
-
These Types come directly from the “Type” field stored with the equipment specification (spec). They can be used in conjunction with CU Categories, but they do not have to be.
