Network Component
A network component is an electric point feature. Not all types of electric features are currently supported in the application. A network component is a generic feature against which a specific feature CU can be assigned. Common examples include arresters, capacitors, and regulators. Eventually, these network features might be included in the standard Design tab. In the meantime, when you require one of those devices not represented on the Design tab, use a network component instead, specifying the electric device CU required.
Care to test drive? This functionality is currently in a preview state. It is fully enabled but deactivated by default. Eventually it will be a part of the standard release, but you can try it now in the meantime. Talk to your administrative team to turn on this function, and if you have other questions, talk with your Schneider Electric account manager. |
Sketching
-
Network components snap to conductors and inherit the conductor’s phasing. If sketching a single-phase network component onto a multiple-phase conductor, you are prompted to choose the appropriate phase once sketched.
-
A network component will split an existing conductor into two sections.
