Hide Component
To reduce clutter on the map, perhaps you want to hide nearby components that are not directly involved in your design. You can accomplish this using the Hide tool.
-
The Hide tool hides both the component and its label.
-
You can hide components you sketched, and you can hide existing components you did not sketch.
-
You can use the Hide tool in the Design tab or the Print tab.
-
If you Hide components in the Design tab before adding a page to your Print Pages pane, the map on that page also hides the components. In other words, when you add a new page in your Print Pages pane, the map on that page reflects all previously-hidden components in the Design tab. However, after adding the page in the Print Pages pane, the components no longer sync between that page and the Design tab. At that point, hiding a component on the printable map does not also hide it in the Design tab, and vice versa.

To hide a component, right-click an individual component and choose Hide. Or, use the Select by Rectangle tool to select many components. Then, right-click and choose Hide
