Electrical Equipment Information

When viewing electrical devices such as breakers, fuses, switches, and conductors in the Component Information pane, you see the same categories of information:

  • Energizing Information

    • This section displays Feeder ID(s), Energized Phases, and Loop/Multifed indicators.

  • Load and Capacity Information

    • This section displays the current load per phase, the capacity per phase, and the percent of allocated capacity per phase.

TIP: If you are interested in looking at the overall load balancing on a circuit, be sure to select a 3–phase conductor that is close to the source.

  • Phase Load Balance

    • Phases that have an orange bar on the left are underloaded relatively. Phases that have a green bar on the right are overloaded relatively. The calculation is using the total load and dividing it by the number of phases downstream, then determining how close each phase is to that average.

    • If you had a completely balanced network, there would be no bars, just a vertical line.

  • Customer Count

    • The customer count is simply the number of service points found downstream, organized by phase.

  • Phase Operations

    • This tool allows you to easily change the phase associated with the device. Simply click on a phase that you would like to open or close. The graphics change to show you the current phase of the device.
