Hotkeys

Hotkeys are keyboard shortcuts. They are invaluable time savers. Most often, when you have the tool active in the design, it displays its hotkey for future reference.

Lock in Preferred Transformer when using Place Service Drop

Ctrl

TIP: The Place Service Drop tool automatically snaps the service line to the nearest transformer. To temporarily override this functionality (in order to “lock in” a preferred transformer that might not be the closest in proximity), first allow the tool to find and snap to your preferred transformer. Then, hold Ctrl while moving the service meter into position. This keeps you snapped to the preferred transformer, even if other transformers are nearby. If your service line is straight (no bends), double-click to finish the sketch. If your service line has bends in it, each click adds a bend. After you add your first bend, you can release Ctrl. Double-click to finish the sketch. For more information, read the topic Place Service Drops.
