Zone Management
You can create up to 50 zones and assign devices to each zone to enable you to view data associated with a specific zone in your system more easily.
From the device page in Settings, click the zone settings icon next to Zone in Contextualization data. The zone setting table opens. The table displays the list of all created zones and the number of devices associated with each zone.
Zones are displayed in alphabetical order by default. You can display them in reverse alphabetical order by clicking the arrow in the Zone name header. You can also display them in order of number of associated devices by clicking the arrow in the Associated devices header.
From the table you can perform the following actions:
-
Create a new zone: enter the name of the new zone in the empty cell at the bottom of the table. A zone name can be up to 50 characters in length and can contain letters, numbers, spaces and/or special characters. A message pops up to inform you if the zone name already exists. Click on the ✔ to add the new zone to the table.
-
Modify a zone name: click the edit icon (
). Enter the new name and click ✔. The name is automatically
updated for all associated devices. -
Delete a zone: click the bin icon (
). A popup
message requires you to confirm that you wish to delete the zone.
Devices previously assigned to this zone are no longer associated
with a zone.
