Wi-Fi Communication

Presentation

The EcoStruxure Panel Server supports the following Wi-Fi functions:

• Wi-Fi infrastructure, that is, the Panel Server can connect to a Wi-Fi router (access point). For more information, refer to Wi-Fi Infrastructure.

• Wi-Fi access point, that is, Panel Server can serve as a Wi-Fi router (access point) to which you can connect a smartphone or a PC. For more information, refer to Wi-Fi Access Point.

Availability

This function is available on Panel Server Entry, Universal (except Wired by Design models), and Advanced.

Setting the Parameters

Wi-Fi activation is enabled and disabled on the Panel Server webpages (disabled by default). Proceed as follows:

1. Access the Panel Server webpages (see detailed topic).

2. Enable and disable the Wi-Fi function on the webpage Settings > Network communication > Wi-Fi infrastructure > General settings > Wi-Fi activation.
