IHC Output Modules
IHC Output modules provide the physical relay or analog output channels used for switching lights, sockets, fans, and pumps in an IHC installation. These modules are added directly below the IHC Interface in the SWITCHBOARD.
eConfigure simplifies the process through a guided dialog where installers choose the hardware type and the IHC Interface port to which the module will be connected.
Opening the “Add Output Module” Dialog
-
In the SWITCHBOARD > Actuators tab, locate the IHC Interface already placed in the switchboard.
-
Click Add Output Module beneath the IHC Interface entry. This opens the Add output module dialog.
The dialog contains two selections:-
IHC Interface port – the physical port on the IHC Interface where the output module will be attached.
-
Module – the specific output module model you want to insert.
-
Selecting the IHC Interface Port
At the top of the dialog, use the drop-down menu IHC Interface port to select the desired output port.
-
Each IHC Interface supports multiple output ports.
-
Each port can accept one output module.
-
eConfigure automatically prevents assignment conflicts by showing only valid ports.
Choosing the IHC Output Module Type
Below the port selector, eConfigure lists all supported IHC output modules:
-
IHC Control® output 230 V AC 10 A (8 outputs)
-
IHC Control® output 24 V DC (8 outputs)
-
IHC Control® output 400 V AC 8×10 A (8 outputs)
You select the module depending on the wiring and voltage used in the physical installation.
To proceed:
-
Click the desired module in the list.
-
Click OK.
The selected output module appears directly beneath the IHC Interface in the switchboard.
Channel Structure of an Output Module
Each output module displays its available channels in a numbered list:
-
Channel 1 → 1.01
-
Channel 2 → 1.02
-
...
-
Channel 8 → 1.08
Where:
-
The first number (1) represents the IHC Interface port.
-
The second number (1.16) represents the output channel number on the module.
The channels appear in order and are clearly labeled for easy identification.
Assigning Loads to Input Channels
Each channel includes a Drop here field.
To link an IHC load (e.g., Lighting IHC, Universal point IHC, etc.):
-
Go to the Floor section of the SWITCHBOARD.
-
Select the IHC load.
-
Drag a link from the load´s output channel to a Drop here field on the corresponding IHC output module.
Once assigned:
-
The channel field updates with the load name and channel.
-
The link becomes part of the project´s internal logic.
-
eConfigure updates the module counter (Output modules: 1).
Removing or Replacing Output Modules
Each module includes a small trash icon on the right side.
Removing a module will:
-
Remove all channel assignments under it.
-
Unlink any outputs previously mapped.
-
Free the interface port for adding another module type.
