Markup to GIS
Markup to GIS enables smart commissioning by automatically translating markup features to GIS features. To ensure correct mapping between markup features and utility network features, coordination between Mobile Administrators and Editor Administrators must occur.
Configuration of Markup to GIS is completed in Solution Center.

Markup Session in GIS
After a markup is sent to GIS, a session appears in the list of available sessions. Mobile users have the option to rename a markup before sending it to GIS and the markup name becomes the name of the GIS session. However, if the markup is not renamed, the session name defaults to the name of the markup type used to send the markup.
The session card displays this session name information, in addition to the user who sent the markup.

Markup to GIS supports sending normal markups and promoted markups in the same markup assignment. Markups mapped to Utility Network features are automatically part of the edits in the version tied to the session. Any other markup is automatically associated to the session.

All sessions created from Markup to GIS are required to follow the organization’s session manager workflows.
