Multi-Tier Tracing

Editor XI allows the ability to control whether your trace crosses multiple tiers, or traces only within the tier the trace begins.

The default behavior for traces is multi-tier and contains results that cross over tiers. To turn off multi-tier tracing, access Trace Options from the Tracing section of the ArcFM Editor XI Toolbar and check the box next to Limit to Subnetwork.

When the box is checked, the trace results stop at the tier boundary in which the trace started and produces results limited to the one subnetwork.

To switch back to multi-tier tracing, uncheck the box next to Limit to Subnetwork.

When the box is unchecked (the default), trace results ignores tier boundaries and will cross into another subnetwork if the scenario exists.

Trace options are saved for each user. This means that the next time you log into ArcGIS Pro, these trace options are remembered.
