Session Search

On the Session Manager toolbar, you can view a list of sessions and open a session from a drop-down list.

Click the down arrow on the Session Manager tool to display the session list.

Session Manager drop-down search with list of sessions

Type in the Search box if you want to narrow down the display list. The search displays results that match a portion of the session’s name or the full name, and is only searching on the session name field.

When you find the session you want, click the session name in the list to open it. If a session is currently open, you are prompted to save any edits, and the session closes before the selected session opens.

Clicking the Session Manager button opens the Session Manager window displaying the My Work and Available Work tabs. From either tab, there is also a Search box at the top of the session list.

Type in the Search box and press enter. The list will return sessions containing your search terms. Click the session name in the list to open it. If a session is currently open, you are prompted to save any edits, and the session closes before the selected session opens.

IMPORTANT:

Unlike the session search in Solution Center, when Session Manager searches for sessions, it is limiting its search only to sessions associated with the feature service used in the open project. It also limits its search to the tenant to which you are connected, and finally, limits to searching sessions that you have permissions to view on the My Work or Available Work tabs. Session search in Session Manager is searching the following fields: session name, session description, assignment ID, session ID, and Assigned To. A session search within Solution Center searches on different fields. This is important in that a session search conducted in Solution Center could return different results (a different number of matches) than one conducted within Session Manager.
