Duct Layout Tab
The Duct Layout tab is the middle section of the Layout Editor pane. It displays the ducts on the duct bank selected in the wall. Your mouse scroll wheel allows you to zoom in and out in the Duct Layout tab.
Click and drag allows you to pan around within this view without having to select a tool first.
Ducts can be selected and moved around for better placement to represent their real-world location. Click and drag a duct to move it around the Duct Layout tab. These edits also translate to 3D coordinates, thus simplifying the 3D editing experience.
The geometric shape (circle, square, or hexagon) of a duct designates the actual shape of the duct. The size of the shape representing the ducts in the Duct Layout tab in the image above are dependent on the diameter value assigned to the individual duct. This provides a way to easily see which ducts are bigger or smaller and help create a better visual representation of what the duct bank looks like in the real world.
A duct filled in with a light grey tone indicates it is occupied with at least one conductor present in that duct and there is room available for additional ducts. Ducts filled with a dark grey tone indicate the duct is occupied by conductors and is filled to capacity, making it unavailable for additional ducts. When a duct displays filled in white, that duct has no conducts and is available for use.
Ducts with a dotted line around them indicate that’s been added since you last saved using the Layout Editor Save button. A duct with a bold outline indicates it’s an existing duct that has been edited (moved or attributes changed) and not saved yet. Once you click the Save button on the Layout Editor pane, either of these types of ducts change to the normal outline for an existing duct.
Select a duct on the Duct Layout tab to display the Duct Attributes pane. This pane lists the attributes of the duct and allows you to edit those attributes. Click the Save button to display the edits in the Duct Layout tab and the Duct List tab. Since this doesn’t save the edits to your session, you must still save your edits with the Session Manager Save button.
