Multiple Maps Support in Session Manager

Editor XI provides the ability to have multiple maps open that relate to the same feature service.

IMPORTANT: This is currently supported in ArcGIS Pro 3.2 only.

When a new map is opened that relates to the same feature service as the active map and a session is also already open, then the session of the newly opened map is changed to the version of the active map. You can make edits in one map, and they display in the other map. When a session is created, both maps change to the new session/version.

If a second map is opened that does not relate to the same feature service of the active map and a session is open, then Session Manager is disabled. If a second map is opened that does not relate to the same feature service of the active map and a session is not open, then Session Manager allows a session to be created. When you switch between maps and a session is open, if the feature service that the session is created for doesn’t exist on the newly switched map, then Session Manager is disabled.
