the starting point of the trace as long as those selected features
are not blocked by the condition barrier designated by the subnetwork’s
tier configuration. These features must also match either the selected
phase per the trace wheel in the multi-phase scenario or the phase
of the starting feature when in the single-phase scenario.
produce trace results for features that are upstream of the
starting point on the way to the source of the subnetwork (subnetwork
controller). This trace also adheres to the same rules the downstream
trace follows.
