Session Reassignment
This tool provides the ability to change the user assigned to a session.
From the My Work tab, click the Reassign button on your session card to display a drop-down where you select the user to whom you’d like to reassign the session.
The Assign dialog appears giving the user a list of users to select from. The list of available users in the drop-down have roles matching the assignment type of the session.
To reassign multiple sessions, use the Shift or Control key to build your selected set of sessions. The session card displays the number of sessions selected. Click Reassign as you would for a single session.
When the selected sessions have different assignment types, the user drop-down displays only users who belong to roles common to all selected assignment types. For example, if a user selects one session with an Approval assignment and one session with an Edit assignment, the drop-down list contains only the intersection of users for those assignments—that is, users who have at least one role that is common to both assignment types.
All selected sessions are moved to the selected user and a confirmation message is displayed.
From the Available Work tab, click the Reassign button to reassign one or multiple sessions to someone else, or click the Take Ownership button to assign the sessions to yourself.
If you Take Ownership, all the selected sessions move to your ownership, and display under the My Work tab. A confirmation message indicates the process is complete.
Unassigning a Session
You can also unassign a session that is assigned to you in ArcGIS Pro. Since you can only see sessions that are available or already assigned to you in ArcGIS Pro, you can only unassign sessions that are assigned to you, not anyone else. Follow the steps below to unassign a session in Session Manager within ArcGIS Pro.
-
On the Session Manager dialog, select one or more sessions assigned to you.
-
Click the Reassign button.
-
Select Available Work — Unassign from the Assign dialog.
-
The session moves back to the Available Work list. A message indicates the unassign process is complete. Session history shows it was unassigned.
