Graphical Tracing

Graphical Tracing allows for a wide variety of graphics tracing options to help optimize workflow through quick trace views.

Click the small arrow at the bottom right of the ArcFM Editor XI toolbar to activate the Trace Options dialog in which you can configure your trace.

Graphical tracing is the default setting, but you can click the check box to switch to Show trace results as selection. The Clear button clears the graphical trace results only.

To configure the line and point graphics for your trace results you can do any of the following:

  • Click the arrow next to Color to configure the colors for the trace line or point graphics. The colors are selected per graphic type and are independent.

  • Use the sliders next to Line Width to adjust the trace width for the point or line graphics.

  • Use the sliders next to Opacity to adjust the opacity of the trace line or point graphics.

Trace options are saved for each user. This means that the next time you log into ArcGIS Pro, these trace options are remembered.
