Trace Results Options

Users have the option to include certain types of features that are associated with the features returned in the trace results. These features include structures, containers, and content. Structures are features associated by attachment type associations, such as poles. A container is a feature that contains other features, like an assembly or structure boundary. Content are the features within a container.
  1. To include these features in your trace results, access Trace Options. Click the small arrow at the bottom right of the ArcFM Editor XI toolbar to activate the Trace Options dialog in which you can configure your trace.
  2. Under Trace Results, check the box in front of each of the items you want to include in your trace results.

TIP: For these items to be included in the trace results, they must be checked in Trace Options.
  3. You also have the option to show trace results as a selection.
TIP: After running Show trace results as selection, if you notice some features aren't selected in your map, but are listed in the Selection in the Attributes pane, check the visibility settings of those layers in your Table of Contents.
  4. If you decide you no longer want them to be included in your trace results, uncheck the box in front of the one you don’t want to include.

Trace options are saved for each user. This means that the next time you log into ArcGIS Pro, these trace options are remembered.
