Amplifier Span Losses for Nodes and Amplifiers

In the Component tab, amplifier span losses are displayed for nodes and amplifiers.

• Nodes

  • Span loss is shown based on a node boundary and the amplifiers that are within that node boundary.

  • If there is a multiple dwelling unit (MDU) inside a node boundary, and that MDU has its own node feeding the network inside the MDU, then selecting the node inside the MDU shows only the amplifiers fed by that node in the MDU.

  • If you disconnect an amplifier inside an MDU that has its own node, selecting the node outside the MDU will show the disconnected amplifier (which is inside MDU.)

  

• Amplifiers

  • Span loss is shown only for the selected amplifier.

  • Distance to the last active device from the selected amplifier is also displayed.
