Power Blocking - Node
Designer HFC allows for blocking power on one or more ports of a node.
Power Blocking
To block or unblock power to a port, toggle selection of the checkbox
next to the port letter. When blocking power to a port of the node,
the cartographic symbol for power blocking is displayed on the port
and on the node port in the map.
If you block power to a port of the node then decide to unblock power to that port, you will need to reestablish connectivity to that port. Click the radio button next to the port to connect from, then click the radio button next to the port that you unblocked, to establish connectivity.
The following screenshot shows power blocking removed (the checkbox for the port is rechecked) from port D, though it has no connectivity:

To establish connectivity for port D, click the radio button:

Click the radio button of another port in the node and connectivity is established to the unblocked port:

Powering Port
One port on the node must be designated as the powering port. After
placing a node, the default powering port is A, as denoted by the
blue, right-facing pointer icon.

To change the powering port, select a different port from the drop-down list.

After you select a port from the drop-down list, the right-facing
pointer situates itself next to that port in the
Power Blocking diagram.
