Place RF Network Components
-
Click the Place RF Network
icon. The map cursor becomes a crosshair.
- With a stranded network on the map, hover the cursor over valid strand points (e.g., a pole) and observe the green highlighting .
-
Click the strand point to place a component. Components
can quickly be placed by using Hotkeys.
By default, Designer HFC places a node at the first click point and places taps on subsequent points using the defaults set in DHFC Catalog.
TIP: Taps can be connected to other taps, directional couplers, splitters, etc., by clicking on the strand location while holding the T key. -
Type a name for the node, then click OK.
IMPORTANT: Node names are required, and you cannot place a node without providing a name. You can change the name later by either right-clicking the node and choosing Rename or double-clicking the name in the Component tab.
