How is conduit added to stranding?
Also, how do you designate that the designed coax is actually in the conduit?
Follow these steps to add conduit to stranding:
- Right-click a strand and select Conduit on the Context Wheel.
- Choose a conduit type from the list and click once on the up arrow to its left to place one conduit. Click OK.
- View information for the added conduit on the Component tab, under Conduits. If other conduit exists, it will also be listed here. The color of the circle to the left of the conduit information reflects the color of the cable line in the map. Additionally, an empty colored circle indicates that cable has not yet been assigned to the conduit. If there are multiple conduits, each will have its own color. The highlight color in the map will change when different conduits are selected.
-
You can delete conduit by clicking the red X to the right
of its description.
Follow these steps to associate cable with a conduit:
- On the Component tab, click the desired cable under the Direct Bury Cables section.
- Drag and drop the cable onto your chosen conduit. The colored circle to the left of the conduit information displays with a dot in the middle, indicating that cable has been assigned to conduit.
- Likewise, you can click the cable, drag it from the conduit, and drop it back into the Direct Bury Cables section to remove it from the conduit.
