Bulk Update or Remove MDU House Counts and Strand Lengths

While working inside an MDU, you can:

Multi-select multiple “poles” or “structures” and update the house counts.
Multi-select multiple strands and update their lengths.
Multi-select multiple “poles,” “structures,” or strands and remove them.

This is particularly helpful to correct an error after using the Auto Create Strand tool.

IMPORTANT: These tools work if the design has not been commissioned to the GIS. If the design has been commissioned, you cannot update the house counts or lengths, and you cannot remove the “poles,” “structures, ” or strands.

Bulk Update MDU House Counts

To bulk update MDU house counts, follow these steps:

While working inside an MDU, use the Ctrl key and the cursor to select multiple “poles” or “structures.”
Right-click, then choose House Count.
Type a new Residential or Commercial count, then click OK.

IMPORTANT: The Customer Counts start at 0. This is because “poles” or “structures” might have different counts from the beginning, and the interface does not know which count you require. Thus, it resets to 0 and requires your input.

Bulk Update MDU Strand Lengths

To bulk update MDU strand lengths, follow these steps:

While working inside an MDU, use the Ctrl key and the cursor to select multiple strands.
Right-click, then choose Length.
Type a new length, then click OK.

Bulk Remove MDU “Poles,” “Structures,” and Strands

To bulk remove facilities, follow these steps:

While working inside an MDU, use the Ctrl key and the cursor to select multiple “poles,” “structures”, and strands. These can be removed separately or together. In the following image, both “poles” and strands are selected at the same time.
Right-click, then choose Remove.
