Strand Map
The strand map is the spatial tool for working with RF networks. The strand map is where you create and design your network using tools in the Tool Ribbon.
Use the following steps to design your network:

Click the Place Strand
icon.
- Click on the map to create the strand's beginning location.
- Click the map at each point where you want to place a structure.
- Press the Esc key to exit the tool.

Click the Place RF Network
icon.
- Click the point of a strand where you want to place a node for the network, and the cursor snaps to the structure.
- Follow the strand, clicking each point to place a tap, and the cursor snaps to valid points within proximity.

Press the Esc key to exit the tool.
TIP: When placing RF components, the components available to place are being fed from settings in Designer HFC Catalog, and the components may or may not have associated defaults set.
