Configure Design Summary

Design Summary is an easy way to search and view information contained in a design. Configuration of Design Summary allows you to apply your own logo and customized stylesheets to your design summary export through Process Framework Settings.

Design Summary Process Framework Settings

Design Summary has three configurable Process Framework (Px) settings. These allow you to set custom stylesheets and logos.

DesignSummaryExcelStylesheetPath: This is used to set the file path (including filename) to an Excel stylesheet that is applied to the design summary export.

DesignSummaryLogoPath: This is used to set the file path (including filename) to a logo or image that should be copied to the temp directory where the design summary output file is placed. This file path must point to a valid image file, otherwise it will not be copied to the temp directory. This enables you to include your own logo or graphic to your HTML output. This setting only applies when exporting to HTML.

DesignSummaryStylesheetPath: This is used to set the file path (including filename) to a stylesheet that is applied to the design summary export before it is transformed into HTML.

See the Configuration topic in the Process Framework Administration Tool section for more information about PX settings configuration.

Sample Stylesheets

Below are stylesheet samples that you can apply to the Px settings described above.

DesignSummary.xsl - used for HTML files.

DesignSummaryExcel.xsl - used for Excel files.

IMPORTANT: When creating your own stylesheet for Excel, be sure that you output a valid XML document that is properly formatted for consumption by Excel.

Design Summary Units of Measure

Units of Measure (UOM) need to be configured for the design summary to work properly.

To learn how to configure your Units of Measure, see the Configuring Units of Measure topic.
