The Geodatabase Manager services may stop without any warning or error indicating the reason. This may be caused by the OPEN_CURSORS initialization parameter in Oracle being set too low. Increase Oracle's OPEN_CURSORS initialization parameter to a reasonable level (e.g., 2000 to 5000). OPEN_CURSORS is a dynamic initialization parameter which means that it can be altered without having to restart the database.
