Assign Autoupdaters

Assign autoupdaters to the following classes via their Object info tab in the ArcFM Properties Manager.

IMPORTANT: If you have a simple-edge network, you should assign the ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance AU to the On Feature Split event for simple edge features. If there are multiple AUs, this should be the last AU assigned. You should also set Split On Edit to yes for all junction features that connect to simple edges. For complex edge features, see the ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance Autoupdater section for additional information.

SecOHElectricLineSegment, SecUGElectricLineSegment

The following autoupdaters should be assigned to all linear feature classes that conduct electricity, i.e., all edge feature classes in the geometric network.

The ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance Autoupdater section contains more information about this unique AU.

ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance Autoupdater

The ArcFM Feeder Cache Maintenance Autoupdater is an AU that is automatically assigned when you turn on Feeder Manager 2.0 in ArcCatalog. This also means if you turn Feeder Manager 2.0 off the Feeder Cache Maintenance AU is turned off.

The Feeder Cache Maintenance Autoupdater is assigned to events on each feature class in the geometric network. It is also assigned to events on the CircuitSource and Subsource tables, as well as the relationship class that joins the circuit source feature class (e.g. DynProtDevice) to the CircuitSource table.

The assignments associated with the Feeder Cache Maintenance AU are described below so you know that to expect when examining Autoupdater assignments to the listed feature class and event types

All feature classes in the geometric network, including the default junction feature class:

  • On Feature Create

  • On Feature Update

  • On Feature Delete

All edge feature classes in the electric geometric network:

  • Before Feature Split

  • On Feature Split ( required for simple edge feature classes)

  • After Feature Split

The CircuitSource table:

  • On Feature Update

The Subsource table (commonly named CircuitSourceID):

  • On Feature Update

The relationship class that joins the circuit source feature class (e.g. DynProtDev) to the CircuitSource table:

  • On Relationship Created

  • On Relationship Deleted
