Custom Properties for the Work Request

Custom Properties allow you to save high-level properties for the Work Request itself. These properties are sent along with your Work Request through the workflow, and they can even integrate with your company’s Work Management System (WMS).

If your Custom Properties are populated by your company’s WMS, click the Refresh button to get the most up to date properties.

You can find the available properties directly beneath the Work Request Notes (Custom Properties vary by company, so the fields in the image below likely differ from your available fields).

TIP:
  • Click the Work Request icon first to view the properties and other metadata.

  • If you are an administrator, you can configure Custom Properties in Solution Center > Designer > Client Application > Backstage Custom Properties.

After populating the Custom Properties, click Save.

TIP: Did you receive an error notification after clicking Save? Look for which field is outlined in red. The most common issue is a data type mismatch, for example, typing text when the field is expecting a date.
