Partial Push

Designer XI’s out-of-the-box Partial Push workflow lets designers commit individual pieces of a design to new GIS sessions as those pieces become ready. This differs from the traditional design workflow in which all elements of a design are committed to one GIS session at once.

A designer may choose to partially commit a design to a new GIS session for any number of reasons. For example, a designer working on a new subdivision may wish to push different areas at different phases of construction. Partial Push makes such staged deployment possible.

NOTE:
  • The Partial Push workflow creates a new session and version for each Partial Push that is requested

  • The Partial Push workflow works out of the box against geometric networks (GN) in ArcMap and utility networks (UN) in ArcGIS Pro.

  • The Partial Push workflow does not validate that previous Partial Pushes have been successfully completed.
